COVID-19 Policy

The safety and well-being of our guests, employees, and community continue to be our highest priority. Our outdoor patio will be open for guest reservations starting on Friday, March 5, and available for booking Thursday-Monday. Curbside pickup for wine and cheese purchases and our Farm Fare menu on Tock To-Go will still be available. Our building will remain closed to visitors.

We have provided training to all employees on any new COVID-19 – related procedures or equipment required to maintain their safety in accordance with OSHA and CDC standards, such as the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), etc.

Our employees are regularly self-monitoring for symptoms and taking their own temperatures each day before traveling to work.  Any employees with a temperature reading of 100 degrees or higher, or that exhibits any other COVID-19 related symptoms is required to stay home.

Our employees will notify their supervisor if they begin to feel sick and immediately leave the premises.

Our employees will wear face coverings and gloves during service hours.

Employees will be required to dispose of gloves and wash their hands before and after each reservation.

Pennyroyal Farm’s workspaces for employees maintain 6 feet of separation and establish the “maximum physical distancing occupancy” for our space.


Our table locations are clearly marked and located at intervals of no less than six feet in order to comply with social distancing recommendations.

Our table locations are primarily outdoors and adhere to social distancing and sanitation requirements. All visitors are required to wear masks on the farm and may remove them when seated at their table. Disposable surgical masks will be provided to guests upon request.

The number of our guests is limited by the number of tables available, and all service conducted will be by appointment only to further manage the number of guests visiting at one time.

Our table reservation area is outdoor and shade will be provided. Please be aware: We are located on the floor of beautiful and scenic, yet temperature-and-wind fluctuating Anderson Valley, and are a working farm. Please plan your dress accordingly and know that inclement weather, adjacent farming operations, country odors, air and road traffic, or any other environmental situations may be out of the winery’s reasonable control.

Our menus are one-use-only and disposed of after each reservation.


We have posted COVID-19 Information signage at entrances with winery/patio area sanitation procedures posted at the door and or in designated outdoor service areas.

We have regularly scheduled sanitization of all surfaces including doorknobs, light switches, employee stations, and bathroom fixtures at multiple and frequent intervals.

We are offering hand sanitizer throughout the winery tasting room.

We are sanitizing all tables and chairs at the conclusion of every reservation.

We have placed signage recommended by the CDC in our public restrooms to remind guests to wash hands.

Wine bottles are handled by tasting room staff only and will not contact a guest’s glass.

Communal wine “dump buckets” have been removed. If you’d like a personal dump bucket, please ask a tasting room host.

Glassware used for each guest is sanitized and washed immediately upon the conclusion of each reservation to ensure used glasses do not collect in racks or tasting area.

Daily, a cleaning crew cleans, sanitizes, and disinfects all areas of our facility to encourage a safe environment for our guests and staff.


How do I make a reservation?

Parties of 6 or fewer can make a reservation on Tock for a Farm Table or Taste of Place. Groups larger than 4 persons are subject to an 18% service fee. We will be opening reservations for our Farm Tour at a later date. If you need further assistance or have a special request, just give us a call at 707-895-2410.

Have a group larger than 6 people? Contact our tasting room at 707-895-2410 or for information about our current large group policy. Please do not make multiple reservations for your group.

Will walk-in tables be available?

To maintain the safety of our guests and employees, we are not currently offering walk-in services. Reservations will be required. If a reservation is not available for your preferred date and time, please join the Wait List (available on our Tock reservation page) or call 707-895-2410 as we will contact you if space is available. Another option is to pre-order wine and cheese online or by phone.

How will social distancing be implemented?

All of our guests will be seated on our outdoor patio to ensure a distance of no less than 6 feet between parties. There are a limited number of reservations per day based on available space and sufficient time for sanitation before turnover. There are also designated traffic paths throughout the patio and property to ensure 6 feet is maintained between guests and their tables.

Do I need to wear a face-covering even if the table is outside?

Yes, guests must arrive at the farm for their reservation wearing a facemask sufficiently covering their nose and mouth. It may be removed once checked in and seated at the reserved table, but guests are required to wear a mask anytime they are not seated at their designated table, even while walking around the property. Our team will be wearing masks at all times to minimize contact with guests.

Is my pet dog allowed on the patio during the tasting?

Yes, we allow guests’ dogs at our outdoor tables. All dogs must remain on-leash and are not allowed in our culinary garden. We have an enclosed, off-leash dog park located by the parking lot; all dogs must be supervised by their owners.

Are kids allowed?

Yes, children are allowed and are expected to follow the same policies as adults. If your child is not able to maintain social distancing and/or wear a facemask safely, we kindly ask you to refrain from visiting during this time.

Can we still visit the goats?

At this time, we are not hosting our Farm Tour where guests are allowed to view the goats in our barn. We plan to open Farm Tour bookings at a later date and tours will be limited to private groups. Our members will still be able to utilize their Tour benefit by receiving a discount on booking.
